To advance the continental public health agenda, the WHO Liaison Office to the AU and ECA’s mandate calls for developing positive alliances with the AU organs and the UNECA. Influencing AU and ECA discussions and actions on health, technical collaboration on health-related issues, and keeping an eye on WHO-relevant developments at the continental level are all included in this.
The incumbent will research donor interests and requirements, draft proposals and reports, maintain external relations, and collaborate with AFRO counterparts. They will also work with Africa CDC and AUC communications counterparts to prepare joint communication and develop regular internal and external communication products, including social media.

Education:
- Master’s degree from an acknowledged or recognized university in social sciences, international relations, political science, business administration, communications, marketing, management, or economics.
- studies that are specific to resource mobilization and partnership communication. instruction in general project administration, proposal writing, donor intelligence, and public health.
Experience:
- At least seven years related experience, at the national and international level, in external relations and communications. Documented achievements in resource mobilization activities
- Experience in WHO, other UN agencies, or in a similar field. Experience working in an emergency context.
Languages:
- Expert knowledge of English or French with a working knowledge of the other.
