Overview of position
The contracted personnel are responsible for the installation, maintenance & repair of ICT equipment & must have a strong knowledge of diagnosing electrical / electronic faults & good understanding of workshop safety regulations. Also, must be skilled in using various hand & power tools & have excellent problem solving skills. Additionally, s / he will also technically assist & support all other field office locations throughout the mission area whenever required.

Role objectives
Prepare, dispatch & account for the electronic tracking system supplies & equipment required for the functioning of the system.

Preparation & shipment of communications & tracking materials to the field offices & team sites.

Perform annual Inspection & safety maintenance of all tracking equipment & infrastructures across the mission.

Install, service, troubleshoot & repair tracking equipment & infrastructure as needed.

Assess, understand & translate business requirements into automated or integrated processes aligned to UN technologies.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations & procedures while working in the workshops.

Knowledgeable in using various equipment & tools, such as hoists & rigging equipment, to install & maintain telecom equipment.

Knowledge of data collection, identifying patterns & trends in data sets covering data analysis, cleansing, processing visualization, report generation, modeling with quality assurance, privacy & security.

Open service orders & keep accurate records of work completed & materials used.

Stay up to date with industry trends & advancements in technology.

Always adhere to company policies & procedures.

Willingness to work outdoors & in varying weather conditions.

Provide product specific training whenever required.

Be on call & provide 24 x 7 support to troubleshoot issues or problems when required especially during crisis & emergency situations.

Perform any other ICT duties & tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Defining new data analysis & collection processes producing dashboards.

Able to write & edit technical documentation.

Must be diligent & reliable delivering high quality work within tight deadlines.

Project reporting
The ICT Project Support will be working under the direct supervision of the Application Support Unit Supervisor.

Key competencies
Standard:

Degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or other related engineering field.

Must have at least 3 years of working experience relating to the required technical knowledge written above.

Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Share Point Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft SQL, etc.

Must have a national driver’s license & able to drive a light motor vehicle with manual transmission.

Must be fluent in English, both written & oral.

Advanced:

Degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or other related engineering field.

Must have at least 5 years of working experience relating to the required technical knowledge written above.

Experience & knowledge of electrical & electronic works related to tracking systems, troubleshooting electrical & electronic installations, welding & fabrication are desirable.

Experience in using power tools, systematic diagnostics, through line watt meters & relevant measuring devices desirable.

Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Share Point Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft SQL, etc.

Experience in South Sudan is desirable.

Must have a national driver’s license & able to drive a light motor vehicle with manual transmission.

Must be fluent in English, both written & oral.

Expert:

Degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or other related Engineering field.

Must have at least 8 years of working experience relating to the required technical knowledge written above.

Experience & knowledge of electrical & electronic works related to tracking systems, troubleshooting electrical & electronic installations, welding & fabrication are desirable.

Experience in using power tools, systematic diagnostics, through line watt meters & relevant measuring devices desirable.

Project management certification is desirable.

Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Share Point Online, Power Apps, Power Automate & Microsoft SQL, etc.

Experience in South Sudan is desirable.

Must have a national driver’s license & able to drive a light motor vehicle with manual transmission.

Must be fluent in English, both written & oral.
