Overview of position
The contracted personnel are responsible for the maintenance & monitoring of ICT equipment related to medevac monitoring, medical information management & telemedicine.

The contracted personnel is the medical liaison with the field personnel ensuring compliance with telemedicine & medevac ICT protocols & verifying the validity of medical information from equipment & field medical workers.

The contracted personnel must have a strong knowledge of emergency medicine monitoring & have excellent problem solving skills.

Additionally, s / he will also technically assist & support all other field office locations throughout the mission area whenever required.

Role objectives
Prepare, dispatch & account for the supplies & equipment required for the functioning of the medevac telemedicine system.

Supervision of communications & telemedicine materials deployed to the field offices & telemedicine team sites.

Perform annual Inspection & safety maintenance of all project medical equipment & ICT infrastructure across the mission.

Assess, understand & translate business requirements into automated or integrated processes aligned to UN technologies.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations & procedures during medevacs.

Knowledge of data collection, identifying patterns & trends in data sets covering data analysis, cleansing, processing visualization, report generation, modeling with quality assurance, privacy & security.

Stay up to date with industry trends & advancements in technology.

Always adhere to relevant policies & procedures.

Willingness to work outdoors & in varying weather conditions.

Provide product specific training whenever required.

Be on call & provide 24 x 7 support to troubleshoot issues during medevac situations.

Perform any other ICT duties & tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Defining new data analysis & collection processes producing dashboards.

Able to write & edit technical documentation.

Must be diligent & reliable delivering high quality work within tight deadlines.

Project reporting
The selected candidatre will be working under the direct supervision of the Head of the Medevac Coordination Cell in the Republic of South Sudan.

Key competencies
Standard:

Medical degree with solid practical knowledge of medical related ICT technology for telemedicine, medical record management, medical transcription & medevac real time monitoring.

Specialist knowledge in Earthmed preferably certified Case Manager.

Expert knowledge in MDGuidelines & integration with WHO ICD-11 coding system.

Must have at least 3 years of working experience relating to the required technical knowledge listed above.

Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Share Point Online.

Must have a national driver’s license & able to drive a light motor vehicle with manual transmission.

Must be fluent in English, both written & oral.

Advanced:

Medical degree with solid practical knowledge of medical related ICT technology for telemedicine, medical record management, medical transcription & medevac real time monitoring.

Specialist knowledge in Earthmed preferably certified Case Manager.

Expert knowledge in MDGuidelines & integration with WHO ICD-11 coding system.

Must have at least 4 years of working experience relating to the required technical knowledge written above.

Experience & knowledge of electronic equipment related to medical evacuations, telemedicine & troubleshooting relevant equipment.

Experience in South Sudan is desirable.

Must have a national driver’s license & able to drive a light motor vehicle with manual transmission.
