Required Experience:

• At least 5 Experience working on Value Chain Development planning and iMSD

• Experience in supporting practitioner learning and competency development in a technical or issue-based field

• Experience with strategy development & implementation processes

• Demonstrated experience in program or project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting

• Proven experience as a team player.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of iMSD, WEE, Nutrition sensitive Agriculture and poverty dynamics, issues, and contributing factors

• Knowledge of programming resources and tools in for Inclusive Market System Development programming

• Understanding of fundamental research and design processes leading to project model development

• Understanding of strategy implementation and organizational change processes

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Competent in the use of Microsoft Application Program including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Work Environment:

Must be able to do multiple tasks and willingness to Need-based field visit to field locations (Project sites).

Responsibilities & Context

Project Name: GEnder incluSive Market systems for Improved Nutrition (GESMIN) Project

The purpose of the role is to provide overall technical leadership and support in developing and implementing the Gender inclusive Market System for Improved Nutrition (GESMIN) Project supported by DFAT ANCP following Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture approach. GESMIN Project built on the outcomes/results, which gained in the previous phase (NSVC). The overarching strategy of the Project is Inclusive Market System Development with a Gender lens.

In aligning and focusing on Greener Market System and Inclusion of Women in different part of Agriculture Value Chain. This Position will determine for capacity development of Community Market Agent, Women Entrepreneurs, Female Producer Group Leaders, Business Development Officers by involving relevant Public Private Market Actors. Contribute to develop Annual Development Plan, execution & follow up execution of the plan and provide technical inputs in various Reports/Assessment. Seeks opportunities for livelihood implementation research and communicates learning from programming and explore/apply.

Key Deliverables:

• Provide technical leadership on Inclusive Market System Development (iMSD) and Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) interventions

• Market linkage through the platform of Community Market Agents and Women Entrepreneur by connecting Producer Groups with local and national markets and ensure quality inputs/service for the producers as well as receiving fair prices.

• Establish/connect network to form a vibrant “Platform” of Community Market Agents (CMA) to ensure quality inputs, market information, Agricultural Advisory services and fair price.

• To improve the quality of Agricultural Extension Services through implementing the Citizen Voice and Action (CVA) approach of World Vision. That will mobilise policy makers to prioritise Extension Service, especially for Women Producer/farmer as an important agenda item for the government to consider.
