Job Description:
Scope of work:
The Warehouse Officer/Stockkeeper will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, organizing the stockroom, and ensuring the timely and accurate movement of goods. This role is essential in ensuring that products are available when needed and that stock records are accurately maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, record, and inspect incoming shipments to ensure they are accurate and undamaged.
- Organize stock in the warehouse or storage facility to ensure items are easily accessible and well-categorized.
- Maintain stock inventory records and update them regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct routine stock audits and physical inventory checks.
- Prepare and submit stock reports to management.
- Ensure goods are properly labeled, stored, and handled according to company policies.
- Assist with inventory ordering and forecasting.
- Coordinate stock movement between departments or locations when necessary.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in stock keeping, inventory control, or warehouse management (preferred).
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
- Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed.
