Job Description:
The Security Watchman is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of CARE’s national and international staff, visitors, and property within the office. This role requires attention and proactive measures to maintain a secure environment across all CARE facilities, including the offices, BHC, and warehouses. Under the guidance of assigned OROs and security focal points, Watchmen respond to emergencies and threats, prevent unauthorized access, and report suspicious activities.

Perform and execute all required orders, directions, guidance, and requirements of Standard Operating Procedures and General Orders to a standard that meets expectations. Make sure to provide immediate reports of any suspicious activities, hostile actions, perceived surveillance, unauthorized photography to Provincial focal points and Kabul ops room staff. Assist with BHC staff in loading and unloading, if necessary.
Secure all doors and windows after hours, documenting any discrepancies for provincial or or safety and security focal points. Politely screen and register patients and visitors before granting
access to BHC,
issuing ID cards as needed Professional practice to lock and unlock the gate while the staff and doctors vehicles arrive. Maintain the organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements

Monitor the BHC generator and communicate operational status to the head of BHC, ORO and safety and security focal points. Maintain
the office fuel supply and report any maintenance issues.

Keep on all security lights during
the night and report to ORO regarding damage to assets.
Make sure that all main and other gates to BHC are locked.
Patrol the assigned areas on foot and take action to investigate, report, prevent, or stop suspicious activities, hostile actions, fires, theft, or safety hazards.

Communicate incidents and security breaches to the Provincial OROs and Kabul Operations Room, or designated staff.

of a direct Supervisor and Security Point Person make sure to contact the relevant security/fire/ambulance departments when an emergency occurs, force entrance is taken place and CARE facilities are attacked.
