Our overarching goals are to end hunger, lessen poverty, provide and advance social civic services (health, education, WASH, etc.), advance gender equality and equity, support women’s and children’s empowerment, and strengthen local economies and households through livelihood interventions and development program design and implementation.

Job Description: Overview of the Position

The Business Development Trainer is in charge of organizing five training sessions for over forty businesswomen, conducting pre- and post-training assessments, conducting training sessions for 15 days at each training center, working practically with beneficiaries on the subjects, and creating a report of the training sessions that addresses particular issues. In addition, the Business Development Trainer will be responsible for the following tasks:

Responsibilities:

    • Assist with gathering feedback on courses and assessing training material and tools.

  • Assist with reviewing and modifying lesson plans to improve upon training curriculum as needed.
  • Gather participant data as needed and provide regular reports to the MEAL Specialist.
  • Record information about training sessions in the trainer journal – including session topics, reactions to material, challenges, and other relevant issues.
    Recommend women for dismissal from the program according to organizational guidelines

  • Deliver technical training subjects following established training curriculum and program guidelines

Deliverables: The Trainer is responsible for the following deliverables:

Deliverable #1: Develop:

  1. Conduct Training in 10 centers
  2. Conduction a 3-day training in each center
  3. Pre- and post-evaluation of participants

Required Delivery Date: From the 6th to the 36th day of the assignment

Means of Verification:10 centers training (every three days, total 30 days)

Deliverable #2: Submitting a final (narrative, photo, and post-evaluation) report to the MEAL Department

Required Delivery Date: End of the assignment

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Livestock and Agriculture, or other related fields
  • Master’s degree in Economics, Livestock and Agriculture, or other related fields

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience for a Bachelor’s degree in business development, training, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience for a Master’s degree in business development, training, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of business development principles and practices
  • Excellent training and facilitation skills
  • Ability to develop and customize training materials
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using training software and tools
  • Ability to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness
  • Work experience with international companies, organizations, and NGOs
  • Fluent Pashto and Dari
  • Proficiency in report writing English is required

Languages:

  • Written and spoken fluency in English, Farsi-Dari, and/or Pashto.
