2025 Maynooth University Entrance Scholarship
The Maynooth University 2025 Entrance Scholarship is available for bachelor’s degrees in the subjects that the university offers. Your application must be submitted before December 10th, 2025. This scholarship, which is worth €1,000 in partial funding, is offered by Maynooth University National University of Ireland, Maynooth (NUIM). All citizens are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Eighty new MU students studying a variety of degree programs, such as MH101 Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, Primary Education, and more, were given Entrance Scholarships in 2024. The breakdown of degrees selected by our scholars in 2024 is shown below.

Eligibility Criteria of Maynooth University Entrance Scholarship:
This scholarship requires the following qualification:
- Incoming first-year students who apply through the Central Applications Office (CAO) and receive at least 575 CAO points on their school-leaving exams are automatically given the €1,000 Entrance Scholarship.
- Points from six topics must be earned in a single sitting for students presenting the Irish Leaving Certificate, but the sitting need not take place in the same year as university admission.
- Achieving the necessary points from three or four A-Level topics is the basis for the award for students presenting GCE A Levels.
How to apply:
Applications for undergraduate programs at Maynooth University and other Irish higher education institutions are processed by the CAO. For Maynooth University’s first-year undergraduate degree programs, all EU, EEA, and UK applicants must submit their applications via the CAO.
