The third phase of the Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship Program for Afghan students (2023–2031) has been announced by the government of Pakistan. This scholarship’s application period will open soon. In the ensuing three years, 4,500 scholarships will be given to Afghan students to pursue undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degrees.

There will be a minimum of one-third of scholarships awarded to female students. The amount Pakistan would have set aside for this scholarship scheme is Rs. 12.686 billion. It is reported that thirty thousand students compete annually for 1,500 scholarships from all around Afghanistan. The selected individuals will be admitted to Pakistan’s top universities and professional institutes.

SOPs are currently being established for the third phase of the scholarship program, which will be advertised in the upcoming weeks. This initiative is launched annually; however, it was not launched last year. As part of its third phase, this year’s program will provide 1500 additional scholarships.
