The results of those who were chosen at random will be accessible starting on May 4, 2024.
To check your result, view the video at the bottom of this post.
To get a US visa or green card for the purpose of living, studying, or conducting business in the United States, you may apply for the DV 2025. The application period opens on October 5, 2023, and closes on November 6, 2023.
The Immigration Act of 1990 created the Diversity Visa (DV) program, which went into effect in 1995. 55,000 visas for immigrants are distributed annually by a lottery. This program’s primary goal is to increase the diversity of immigrants living in the United States. There are 55,000 visas available for the DV-2023.
Six global regions are given out these immigrant visas:
South America, Central America, and the Caribbean; Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania.
Every year, there is a certain time during which you can register for the DV lottery. October 4, 2023 (Wednesday, 12:pm EDT or 8:00 PM Afghanistan time) is the start date of the DV Lottery 2025. It finishes on November 7, 2023, at 12:pm EDT or 8:00 PM Afghanistan time.

Need for a passport:
Candidates for DV 2021, 2022, and 2023 must to have a current travel passport. Only the primary applicant (father or mother) required a current passport for family registration. Thankfully, the passport requirement is waived beginning with the Dv Program 2024 (application period October – November 2023) and individuals may apply without one. In any case, if you are chosen to apply for a US visa, you must have your passport ready.
How should one apply?
The following details are required to finish your application and submit it:
Name, last name, gender, birthdate, place and nation of birth, phone number and email address, level of education, status as a married couple, and, if applicable, details about your children.
The E-DV Entry Form, also known as the DS-5501, is an online application that can only be completed on the official DV lottery website.
It is highly recommended that you fill out the admission form on your own, without the assistance of a “visa consultant,” “visa agent,” or other facilitator. If you receive assistance, you should be there when your entry is ready so that you may answer the questions correctly, keep your special confirmation number, and take a printout of the confirmation screen. The printout of your confirmation page and unique confirmation number should be kept close to hand. It has been reported that dishonest visa facilitators will help applicants with their entries, keep the printout of the confirmation page, and then demand additional payment for the confirmation number. You won’t be able to use the online system that lets you know your entry status without these information.
If someone offers to keep this information for you, proceed with caution. The email address that is mentioned in your E-DV record should also be accessible to you.
You will get a confirmation screen with your name and a special confirmation number after submitting your entry or application form. This confirmation screen should be saved for your documentation.
