International students can now apply for the American University in Cairo’s (AUC) Excellence Scholarship Program. Talented and diverse top students in need of financial aid are drawn to this program. Applications for the AUC Excellence Scholarship Program are open to those who exhibit excellence. They also need to demonstrate potential and enthusiasm for improving the world, their communities, and themselves.

- Through the Excellence Scholarship Program, AUC offers a range of competitive scholarships.
- Outstanding students who qualify in the different categories may receive tuition coverage ranging from 20% to 100% through the award.

Eligibility
- applicant’s certificate scores;
- Some scholarship categories require an interview in addition to the submission of supporting documentation.
- International students should apply to AUC in order to be considered for the International Diversity category.
- Transfer students who have completed fewer than 60 credits at an approved university and who fulfill additional AUC requirements are eligible to apply for the AUC Excellence Scholarship.

- A copy of the results of the IELTS, TOEFL, and Duolingo exams (for those pursuing degrees only)
- An electronic national ID card and birth certificate (for Egyptians only)
- A copy of a current passport (only for non-Egyptians)
- Evidence of the school year and copies of all results that have been stamped by the British Council or the school (IGCSE only)
- A copy of the SAT I (code 0903) or ACT-1 (code 5303), along with official transcripts from grades 9 through 12, showing the cumulative GPA
