Exchange Program for Professional Fellows in the USA
Young professionals from South and Central Asia can apply for full funding under the Professional Fellows Exchange Program 2026. The fully sponsored exchange program lasts for five to six weeks. Rising leaders from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and the US are connected through the Professional Fellows for Governance and Society program to exchange ideas, create networks, and deepen their knowledge of public policy and governance.
World Learning oversees this U.S. Department of State-funded program. It assists fellows in learning about good governance, exchanging best practices in policymaking, and investigating how public institutions operate in the United States. The fully financed fellowship program aims to assist sustainable development in the home countries of participants, foster teamwork, and improve leadership abilities.
During the two way exchange program, participants will be placed in a U.S.-based organization related to their field. They will attend professional meetings, take part in discussions with key stakeholders, visit important sites, and contribute to the Professional Fellows Congress in Washington, D.C., alongside fellows from other countries.
The Professional Fellows program also offers a chance to better understand American culture and society while strengthening democratic institutions through shared projects. Participants will return home with new knowledge, global connections, and ideas to support civil society and policy initiatives. It’s a one-of-a-kind platform to connect, learn, and lead in governance.
