Opportunity Details

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Hilde Domin Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Federal Foreign Office, is now accepting applications for the academic year 2023/24. (AA).

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides the “Hilde Domin Program” scholarship to students and doctoral candidates worldwide who face discrimination in their home countries in terms of education or other rights. The program provides funding in the form of a completely funded scholarship for the recipients’ choice of degree course (Bachelor, Master, or PhD) at a German higher education institution.

The long-term aim is for recipients to be able to contribute to meaningful political, economic, and social development in their home nations. The program also contains an interdisciplinary program to help recipients grow personally and contribute to society. The scholarship is named after the German writer and poet Hilde Domin, who lived in exile for more than 20 years due to political events in Germany. Except for EU/EEA/EFTA countries, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, and the United Kingdom, the scholarship is available to all students and doctoral candidates globally.

If you are a student/scholar facing educational denial in your native country, apply to the Hilde Domin Scholarship program. Women from Afghanistan who have been expressly denied education may apply to this program.

Successful students and doctoral candidates will be enrolled in their chosen degree courses based on their qualifications. They will receive a scholarship to pay the costs of their study or research stay in Germany.
