Applications for the Global Water and Sanitation Center – GWSC Scholarships are now available for students from South and Southeast Asia. Applicants can obtain a Master’s degree from Asian Institute of Technology. (AIT). The main goal of this scholarship is to assist outstanding students and young professionals from developing countries in their studies of the environment, engineering, and management. Furthermore, the program seeks to assist participants in contributing to the development of their country through their studies.
The Global Water and Sanitation Center (GWSC) was established recently at AIT with the primary aim of accelerating and supporting WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) strategy in Asia and beyond. The GWSC improves the effectiveness of leveraging funding from governments, foreign financial institutions, and other development partners.
The Center currently hosts global water and sanitation initiatives supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, including the Technical Assistance Hub (TA Hub), the Improvement of the National Sanitation Dashboard (NSD), the Development and Scaling Up of the Integrated Municipal Information System (IMIS), and the Women in Sanitation Enterprises Project. (WISE).
