For whom are Politecnico Scholarships available?
The Polytechnic University of Turin Scholarships for Afghan nationals are open to applicants who fulfill the following requirements:
- possess Afghan citizenship; be eligible for a postgraduate degree program; and hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent academic credential from a foreign educational institution outside of Italy. Students who have not yet graduated but who have completed at least 15 years of global schooling (at least 3 years at the university level) and earned at least 180 ECTS credits or equivalent are considered to have “equivalent academic qualification” if they are enrolled in a foreign university for five or six years, that is, a single cycle degree combined Bachelor and Master program; pre-university or preparatory years are not included in the achieved credits or years;
- meet the prerequisites for admission to Politecnico di Torino’s Master of Science program in the academic year 2025–2026;having never begun a connected academic career or been enrolled in a degree program at Politecnico or any other Italian university;

How do I apply?
During the admissions periods for Polito Master’s degree programs, submit your application online at Apply@polito.
- How to Apply: for the Politecnico di Torino Afghan Student Scholarship: Enter your personal information precisely as it appears in your passport when you register on the Politecnico di Torino Application Portal (found at the “apply now” button). The form takes about 20 minutes to complete. You can save your work and come back at a later time.
- Enter the username: and password that were emailed to you to log in. If the email does not arrive, look in your garbage or spam bins. Go to this link to access the login page.
Fill out the application form in the correct order.
Prioritize your choices when choosing between up to two Master of Science (MSc) programs. - Select: “I wish to apply for scholarships for Afghan students Master of Science programs A.Y. 2025/26” under the “Research grants and scholarships” area.
As directed by the website, upload the necessary papers, making sure they adhere to the format specifications.

Afghan students who meet the standards for admission and apply before the deadline will get the 14 scholarships. Afghan students who are refugees in Italy will be given priority, and other students will be ranked according to their GPAs converted to the Italian grading system. - Provisional Ranking: In the event of a tie, younger applicants are given preference when ranking candidates based on their results. By June 20, 2025, the provisional rating will be posted on the Politecnico di Torino Financial Aid website.
- Acceptance: By email on June 27, 2025, winners must confirm their acceptance. Scholarships that are not returned are forfeited and will be given to the next qualified applicant.
- Final Ranking: On April 7, 2025, the final list of scholarship awardees will be released.
- Scholarships that are not used will be kept for use in subsequent academic years until all available monies have been used.
