The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence-MBZUAI Undergraduate Research Internship Programme (UGRIP) provides an immersive experience for AI enthusiasts. This program at the Abu Dhabi campus offers a one-of-a-kind chance for bachelor’s students to collaborate with distinguished faculty members and like-minded peers from around the world on cutting-edge AI research.
Join the UGRIP, which runs from May 27 to June 21, and you will be able to collaborate on research projects, improve your professional network, and receive mentorship at the MBZUAI Abu Dhabi campus.
The internship includes airfare, insurance, lodging, and a stipend, as well as cultural and social activities and excursions to downtown Abu Dhabi and Dubai. To be considered for UGRIP Summer 2024, please submit your complete application online by February 29, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must be:
- Undergraduate students in the third/fourth year of STEM-related majors.
- Have a CGPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent.
- Provide an official enrolment letter and academic transcript.
- Demonstrate English language proficiency.

- Computer Vision:
- Our researchers focus on live camera detection, addressing car accidents, crowd counting, and pedestrian detection.
- My expertise includes severe weather condition tracking, camouflaged detection, and tumor detection.
- Machine Learning:
- Our machine learning researchers enhance algorithms, data, and statistics by investigating the core of AI models.
- The goal is to improve accuracy and power while optimizing efficiency for contemporary AI models.
- Natural Language Processing (NLP):
- NLP teams explore various topics, from fake news detection to understanding the uses and limitations of chatbots (e.g., ChatGPT).
- Research extends to machine translation and speech recognition within Natural Language Processing.
