The scholarship’s value of NTU 2025 NIE PhD Scholarship in Singapore:
The National Institute of Education will provide the following to all applicants who are accepted for international PhD positions in Singapore:
- The annual tuition fee
Stipend per Month:
- $3,500 (STEM) / $3,200 (SSH) for Singaporean citizens
- $3,100 (STEM) / $2,800 (SSH) for a permanent resident
- $2,700 for STEM students and $2,500 for SSH students
Additional Advantages:
- Citizens of Singapore: Central Provident Fund (CPF)
- The existing employer’s contribution rate will serve as the basis for contributions.
- Students passing the Ph.D. qualifying exam
- Up to SGD 500 per month for examination and confirmation (subject to requirements)
The NIE PhD Scholarship’s eligibility requirements are as follows:
- Candidates may be from any country.
- Candidates must be enrolled in the university’s full-time PhD program.
- Candidates must have at least a second-class upper-level bachelor’s degree with honors.
- Candidates must be able to conduct research in the recommended field of advanced study and hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Candidates must not have or accept a job at this time, nor be receiving any additional funding, grants, fellowships, or scholarships.
