Eligibility:
- In addition to not having Australian citizenship, Australian permanent resident status, or New Zealand citizenship, applicants must be citizens of any other foreign nation.
- In the year that the prize is to be given out, candidates should plan to start full-time study for a higher degree by research in Australia for the first time.
- Consideration may be given to students who started a higher degree by research the year before but were unable to apply for a FIPRS because of the timing of their admissions application and subsequent enrollment, or who started a higher degree by research and stopped their enrollment within six months of starting.
- Pupils must plan to enroll in a research concentration program.
- The University has focused its research resources, drawn outside financing, and has a special strength in several areas.
- All prerequisites for admission to a research-based higher degree must be met by candidates, including the English language competency levels specified in the English Language competency Requirements for HDR Candidature.
