Financial Services Law Laboratory Scholarships at Laval University 2025

Laval University 2025 is offering Financial Services Law Laboratory Scholarships for Masters and PhD programs in Financial Service Law. Your application must be submitted by October 12, 2025. Laval University (Universite Laval), Canada, is offering this scholarship, which has a partial funding value of up to CAD 10,000. All nationals are eligible to apply for this scholarship. If a person’s field of study is strongly related to one of the Financial Services Law Laboratory’s research areas (banking, insurance, investments, and securities), the Laboratory will offer scholarships to help them pursue further education.

Eligibility Criteria Financial Services Law Laboratory Scholarships:

This scholarship requires the following qualification:

  • At the time of the scholarship award (fall 2025), the recipient must be enrolled full-time (12 credits) in a master’s or doctorate program, have the status of “Deemed full-time” according to Financial Aid for Studies, or have Université Laval recognize them as a student parent.
  • Conduct a financial services legal research project.
  • Provide a high-caliber, pertinent research project that fits in with the Financial Services Law Laboratory’s core areas.
  • has a stellar academic record.
  • Participate in activities or work with researchers to demonstrate your involvement in the lab.
  • For candidates for master’s degrees who have essays or dissertations: Be in the writing phase.

The scholarship’s value:

  • Three scholarships in all, with differing sums, are available.
  • $1,500 was spent on the essay.
  • For the dissertation, $3,500.
  • The PhD costs $5,000.

How to Apply:

  • A two-page letter that explains the topic of the article, dissertation, or thesis and how it relates to one of the Financial Services Law Laboratory’s research areas
  • the final grade transcript at the conclusion of the prior academic level;
  • most recent transcript from the ongoing course (acceptable in capsule form);
  • latest resume.
