  1. Your merit scholarship may be renewed for a maximum of eight full-time undergraduate semesters.
  2. Merit scholarships are for tuition only, unless otherwise noted.
  3. Merit scholarships require full-time attendance.
  4. Only incoming students are considered for Stevens merit scholarships.
  5. If your Stevens merit scholarship is cancelled or reduced, it will not be automatically reinstated, even if you meet the minimum standards for renewal later.
  6. In certain circumstances, Stevens awards may be reduced to make room for outside scholarships.Stevens institutional aid (merit and need-based grants) can only be applied to tuition charges. When you receive an outside scholarship, it’s important to find out if the scholarship pays tuition only or can be used for all components of the cost of attendance (tuition, fees, housing, food, books, etc.). If the outside scholarship must be applied towards tuition only, the sum of institutional aid and external scholarships cannot exceed tuition for the semester or year in which it is offered. If your total does exceed tuition, then your institutional aid (merit and need-based grants) will be reduced to make room for the outside awards. Those external scholarships that are not tuition-specific will be applied towards the cost of attendance, and institutional aid will not be reduced.
