The 2025 Bill Walsh Scholarship
The 2025 Bill Walsh Scholarship is available to students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism (editing). Your application must be submitted by November 15, 2025. This scholarship, which has a variable partial funding amount, is offered by ACES: The Society for Editing. All nationals are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria of Bill Walsh Scholarship:
This scholarship requires the following qualification:
- Candidates must be enrolled in junior, senior, or graduate programs in order to be eligible.
- Candidates must demonstrate their aptitude for language and journalism as well as their enthusiasm in it.
- Candidates must be very interested in becoming editors.
- Candidates may be from any country.
- Administrators, members of the ACES Board, and their families are not eligible.
- Candidates who have already been awarded the scholarships are not eligible.

- Awards in cash
- financial assistance for both in-person and virtual attendance at one of the two annual ACES conferences.
