The 2025 EDUFI Fellowship

For PhD, Research Fellow, or Scientist degrees in any of the university’s courses, the EDUFI Fellowship 2025 is available. Your application must be submitted before October 20, 2025. The Finnish National Board of Education is offering this scholarship, which has a monthly value of EUR 1,900 and is partial funding. All applicants, with the exception of citizens of Finland, are eligible for this award.

The primary purpose of the EDUFI Fellowship is to provide starting funding for research toward a PhD thesis in Finland. Through the fellowship, we have drawn outstanding young researchers to Finland, most of them have also been able to obtain additional financing for their studies.

Eligibility Criteria of EDUFI Fellowship:

This Fellowship requires the following qualification:

• The candidate must be a representative of a Finnish university.
• The research fellow must be hosted by the applicant.
• The candidate and the research fellow must agree on shared goals.
• Facilities and equipment for the research fellow’s use should be provided by the applicant.
• The research should be overseen by the candidate.

• Only representatives of Finnish universities are eligible to apply.
