The University of Auckland’s Philip Deibert PhD Scholarship in Planning 2025 is available to students pursuing a PhD in planning (Faculty of Creative Arts). Value:
- For a maximum of three years, a scholarship will be given out every three years, offering a stipend of up to $27,600 year in addition to donations toward mandatory fees and foreign student health insurance (up to $7,250).

Eligibility:
- Both domestic and foreign full-time students who are able to pay domestic tuition are eligible for the award.
- Candidates must be freshmen seeking admission to the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries’ PhD program in planning.
- Candidates must fulfill all prerequisites.
Selection Criteria
- academic value and the caliber of the study project.
- GPA/GPE of 7.50 (or 6.50 for candidates from the Māori/Pacific).
- Research proposals with issues relevant to New Zealand will be given preference.
