UN Young Leaders Training Program Summer 2024 with certificate is a short-term program for all nationals. All applicants with great potential are encouraged to apply for this program. This program is provided by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research for all participants. It allows acquiring first-hand experience of the United Nations and will provide them with the required knowledge and skills to fully unfold their potential as global leaders.
There are an estimated 1.8 billion people today between the ages of 10 and 24, which is the largest generation of youth in human history. Their numbers are expected to grow—between 2015 and 2030 alone, about 1.9 billion young people are projected to turn 15 years old.

About the UN Young Leaders Training Program 2024
How many modules are there in this program?
The United Nations Young Leaders Online Training Programme includes a 4-week e-learning course implemented on UNITAR’s e-learning platform. The course incorporates 4 various modules, which can be studied in a self-paced manner and require 4-6 hours of studying per week.

- Module 4: Cosmopolitan Communication
Does the UN Young Leaders training program have any webinars?
The course incorporates weekly reading material, multimedia files as well as discussion boards exchanging views with fellow participants and UNITAR instructors. In addition, the Young Leaders Online Training Programme will be completed by several 1.5-hour live webinars. These will be delivered through the platform Zoom by UN experts and comprise the following topics:

- Webinar C – Model United Nations (MUN) Training
- Webinar D – UN Career Development
In addition to the above live webinars, there will be one 3.5-hour e-workshop per week. The Young Leaders Training Programme is open to all actors in international affairs wishing to take on leadership roles in their respective environments and build up knowledge and skills related to the UN and International Geneva.
Participants can incorporate university students, high school students, and other aspiring young leaders of similar backgrounds. Junior professionals from the public and private sectors and senior officials who are young at heart are equally welcome to apply.
To ensure the highest quality standards, the registration will be closed after 30 participants. Slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. At the end of the program, all participants will obtain an official UNITAR certificate of completion.

Eligibility criteria for this program
- All international affairs players who want to advance their leadership careers and gain more knowledge and expertise about the UN and Geneva are welcome to apply for the Young Leaders Training Program.
- Students from high schools, colleges, and other similar backgrounds who aspire to be young leaders can participate. Senior officials with a youthful spirit as well as junior professionals from the public and private sectors are encouraged to apply.
- Once there are thirty participants, registration will close in order to guarantee the highest quality standards. Priority will be given to those who arrive first when assigning slots.
