One of the UN organizations, UNESCO teaches students and recent graduates about the organization’s operations, procedures, and initiatives while also enhancing their practical expertise through assignments and internships. All international students are eligible to apply for the UNESCO internship program. UNESCO Careers includes the UNESCO internship and volunteer opportunities.

For the UNESCO internship, there is also no requirement to take the IELTS exam. The internship will run for six months. Depending on the type of internship, it may be done remotely or in person. Applicants of any gender and academic background are welcome to apply for the UNESCO internship. There are internships available in several nations. Who can Apply?

At the time of your application to the internship program:

Enrolled students can apply.
Graduated students can also apply
Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. applicants can apply.

Please note that candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree, but are not enrolled in a Master’s degree program are not eligible to apply.

Age: You must be 18 years old at the time of applying.

Applicants must be able to speak English.
Computer skills: You must have an excellent knowledge of computer systems and office-related software.

Team player: You should be able to work well in a team and adapt to an international working environment.

Communication skills

You need to have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Health Insurance

For the duration of the internship, UNESCO will only offer restricted insurance coverage up to USD 30,000.

Travel Visa

During their internship, interns are entitled to 2.5 days of paid leave every month.
