The United Nations Nippon Foundation Fellowship 2025 is currently accepting applications. For the complete nine months of the fellowship, funding is provided. There are two phases to the nine months. Fellows will spend three months at DOALOS, located at the UN headquarters in New York, during Phase I. How will the UN Nippon Foundation Fellowship operate?
Fellows will spend the first three months researching, training, and developing their professional abilities at the United Nations in New York, since the organization’s headquarters are located there.
In order to obtain in-depth knowledge, the following six months will be spent in the preferred host institution. The UNNF fellows are hosted by a total of 32 institutions worldwide.
Fellows are required to return to their native countries after completing the Fellowship.
Phase One: Three months of research and training at DOALOS at the UN headquarters in New York, from March/April to June.
Phase Two: six months of advanced academic research and study at one of the host institutions, from July to December
