How to Submit an Application
Internationally educated freshmen are expected to fulfill the same general admissions requirements as domestic applicants. There is competition for admission. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as they can. Dates are listed here. Until all necessary materials are obtained, an application won’t be reviewed. A filled-out application has the following components:
Details regarding visas
Those intending to study under an F1 or J1 visa need to submit extra documentation to the Office of International Affairs, which oversees the Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and the student visa application process.

Expectations of Students
The University’s efforts to create a campus community that is conducive to learning and well-being are the main goals of the Statement of Student Rights and Code of Student Conduct. Faculty, staff, existing students, and prospective students all share responsibility for keeping the campus community in such a state. Consequently, it is expected of anybody showing interest in enrolling at the University of Michigan–Dearborn to act in a way that complies with the Code of Conduct. Actions It is forbidden to act in a way that violates the student conduct code. The University looks for candidates who show they have what it takes to be valuable contributors to the school community, but it also has the authority to reject applications if they have broken any of the rules about acceptable behavior on campus.
Eligibility Criteria for the University of Michigan Scholarship 2024:
- Candidates must be international students
- Candidates must hold a valid visa
- Candidates must be indicating to enroll in a full-time degree program at the university
- Applicants must have an educational background equivalent to a GPA of 3.0 out of 4
- Candidates must have an SAT combined score of at least 1020
- Must be proficient in the English language and be able to show it with any one of the following
- MELAB 76, IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL IBT-80, CBT-213, PBT-550
