- Helping patients find their way around local health and mental health systems would improve access to care.
- Plan outreach activities and seminars to enlighten and engage communities of refugees and immigrants in health and wellness issues in a culturally and linguistically relevant manner.
- Work together with coworkers to meet customer demands.
- Participate as a representative of the IRC in community-led meetings, projects, etc. that support, advocate for, and provide community members with access to healthcare.
- Assist in the creation of a wide range of messages, videos, and other outreach materials that are language and culturally appropriate and can be sent to specific RIM groups through reliable methods.
- Attend all program meetings, staff development events, weekly project leader meetings, and monthly group meetings.
- To give insight to internal and external stakeholders, coordinate the development of reports, and impact data across all projects to ensure high-quality data gathering.

The role of the local refugee, immigrant, and migrant (RIM) populations through programming that involves them in important health and wellness-related issues. They oversee the creation and execution of programs, guarantee that services are provided in accordance with grant and contract requirements, take part in program fundraising and partnership development, and represent IRC Wichita in regional forums on health and wellness-related topics.

NGO-Health and Wellness Specialist Job Requirements
Education:
Advanced degrees in healthcare, public health, social work, or similar fields are desirable, although a bachelor’s degree is still preferred.
Work Experience:
offering social assistance or health programming to disadvantaged groups for at least a year. Experience navigating American social/human service systems with refugees and immigrants is desirable.
Languages:
Proficiency in a second language used by the IRC target demographic is recommended above fluency in English.
Working Environment:
- To carry out the obligations mentioned above, a combination of a regular office setting, remote work, and “field” time in the service delivery region is required.
- Occasional weekend and/or nighttime work may be necessary.
