About UN Jobs in Cambodia-Consultant for Communication

The consultant will work full-time at the WHO Cambodia Office under the direct supervision of the Technical Officer, Coordination and Communication for Health (C4H), producing the following outputs and deliverables. The advisor will participate in the COVID-19 Incident Management Team (IMT). Contract term: six months

  1. Support the collection of content and stories of WHO work across Cambodia, including interviewing, photography (if required) and drafting of content. Travel within Cambodia may be required.
  2. Support the development, design, and delivery of content (stories, social posts, videos etc.) as required in partner visibility plans and the country office content calendar 2023. Pro-actively identify content opportunities and manage approval processes.
  3. Manage the translation and publishing of health information, web stories, media releases, speeches etc. to ensure the WHO Cambodia website is up-to-date and accessible to key audiences.
  4. Support administrative clearance of information products and publications, including use of logos, and required photo consents.
  5. Review WHO Cambodia photo libraries (teams, Sharepoint, WHO multimedia library etc.) and consolidate, document and file to create a master library of photos with all required consents and metadata.
  6. Manage and review country website and social media analytics and provide quarterly reports in consultation with the regional office.
  7. Manage the briefing, contracting and deliverables of sub-contractors – photographers, videographers, agencies, graphic designers etc. – when required to deliver on content and products.
  8. Review media list bi-monthly to ensure it is up to date.
  9. Ensure opportunities to raise partner visibility during technical work – workshops, events, seminars, guidelines, protocols etc. – are taken up and implemented according to partner and WHO branding guidelines.
  10. Provide support to other tasks as required.

Education:

  • University degree in communications, humanities, journalism, media, or related fields

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in communications, marketing, media or journalism in the NGO, Aid, UN, or international development field is required.

languages:

  • Written and spoken fluency in English is essential
  • Fluency in Khmer
