UNICEF’s programs focus on a range of issues, including health and nutrition, water and sanitation, education, child protection, and emergency response. Some of its key initiatives include providing vaccines to prevent diseases like polio and measles, providing clean water and sanitation facilities to communities, promoting girls’ education, and responding to crises such as natural disasters and conflicts.
UNICEF is funded entirely by voluntary contributions from governments, individuals, and private sector donors. Its work is guided by the principles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which affirms the right of every child to survival, development, protection, and participation.
In order to attain the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and assist children in realizing their rights under the Convention on the Rights of Children, UNICEF supports the Government of Pakistan in accelerating the development for children.
