About UN Jobs in Nicaragua – Project Assistant:

  1. Provide administrative and financial assistance in the implementation of project strategies and activities.
  2. Create contracts for smaller purchases and agreements.
  3. Maintaining the validity and delivery of MOU support services, contracting consultants, and managing payments and refunds.
  4. Appointing the Project Coordinator/a and other UNFPA employees to manage and coordinate with institutions and organizations.
  5. Appointment of the Project Coordinator/an in preparing correspondence, phone calls, meeting coordination, and work schedule.
  6. Assist with the organization and logistics of events for the Central Unit and the project’s territorial links.
  7. Assisting in creating memos and reports, as well as operational planning (central y territorial).
  8. Keep the archive up to date.
  9. Managing project milestones, payments, and refunds, as well as other administrative processes.
  10. Conduct monitoring visits to prioritized municipalities to verify administrative-financial processes.
  11. Coordinating and assisting in event logistics at the national and departmental levels, as well as maintaining direct communication with territorial links and socio-support personnel for territory activities.
  12. Assume responsibility for funds managed on your behalf under the cash advance or petty cash policy.
  13. Keeping track of office materials and equipment requirements, as well as maintaining an inventory of project activities.
  14. Solicit information from suppliers in order to create new vendors.
