The National Mine Action Authority (NMAA) and the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) are supported in coordinating Mine Action actions in South Sudan by the Mine Action Office in South Sudan, which is situated in Juba.

Since 2004, the program has coordinated and provided Quality Assurance (QA) for all humanitarian mine action operations in South Sudan. The current operations of UNMAS South Sudan concentrate on data management, hazardous area surveys, landmine and explosive remnants of war (ERW) clearance and destruction, route verification and clearance, and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education for UN personnel, humanitarian partners, and vulnerable groups.

The driver offers dependable and secure driving services for the transportation of authorized individuals under the general supervision of the Fleet Manager and the direct supervision of the Fleet Associate. He or she is client-focused, has a strong sense of duty, is courteous and diplomatic, and is able to collaborate with people from many national and cultural backgrounds.

Requirements of UN Jobs in Sudan-Driver

Education:

  • Two (2) years of relevant experience and a secondary education (a high school diploma or equivalent) are necessary.

Experience:

  • Experience as a driver for a private or public organization qualifies as relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of driving rules and regulations is required.
  • Expertise with fundamental auto repair is preferred.

Languages:
