About UN Jobs in Yemen-Data Management Officer

To make sure that an effective WHO country presence is established in order to develop, assess, and put into practice WHO country cooperation strategies that are in line with the health development agendas of the Member States, which aims to improve access to and the efficacy of high-quality healthcare, sound health financing and human resource strategies, and better health governance.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Provide technical input in developing effective tools and processes to collect, manage and combine data pertaining to the outbreak and/or health emergencies.

2. Analyze data of collected datasets; create maps, infographics, and other cartographic products on a regular and ad-hoc basis; in response country office needs.

3. Be responsible for field data collection efforts as necessary using different data collection techniques such as mobile data collection devices and applications.

4. Provide technical input in the development of tools to harmonize data collection and processes across WCO and field offices to facilitate consolidation of information. Respond to specific information requests from the technical teams and partners, ensure dissemination of information and knowledge sharing with all partners.

5. Aggregate and maintain information from technical teams, field offices and partners including contact lists, event specific information (what, where, who, how many, how quickly, current status), health indicator data, health situation data, health response data, etc.

UN Jobs in Yemen-Data Management Officer Requirments

Education:

  • Information, data management, computer science, statistics, applied math, or public health are all acceptable majors for a bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

  • Data and/or information management experience of at least one year. experience with humanitarian or emergency situations.
  • prior field-level experience in humanitarian work with WHO/UN agencies, partners in the health cluster, reputable humanitarian organizations, or an international nongovernmental organization. knowledge of developing nations.

Languages:

  • Expert knowledge of English. Expert knowledge of the Local language.
