The MIT International Excellence Scholarship 2024 is available to students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the university’s course offerings. The idea for the MIT International Excellence Scholarship originated from MIT’s goal to establish an atmosphere that inspires and supports students from all around the world to pursue excellence. Only foreign students starting an undergraduate or graduate degree in either of the two trimesters—March or—are eligible for this prize.
Eligibility criteria for the MIT International Excellence Scholarship, 2024:
Undergraduate applicants:
- Applicants must be enrolled as a full time student and be a commencing international student for the trimester to which the benefit applies.
- Applicants must have completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent with overall grade average of 70% or more, with no individual result below 65% and have no fail grades recorded (no exceptions will be considered).
- Applicants must provide IELTS (academic) result with an overall score of 7.0 with no band less than 6.5. Documentary evidence of a current (test date within two years of date of application) IELTS certification must accompany the application.
- Applicants submission must be ccompanied by a 500-800 words essay outlining why receipt of the scholarship in important.
- Applicants must not be sponsored by organisations or governments.
- Applicants must submit a complete MIT International Excellence Scholarship Form at the time of application for offer of place at MIT.
Postgraduate Applicants:
- Applicants must be enrolled as a full time student and be a commencing international student for the trimester to which the benefit applies.
- Applicants must have completed as a minimum Australian three years undergraduate degree or overseas equivalent (NOOSR guide) with overall grade average of 70% or more, with no individual result below 65% and have no fail grades recorded (no exceptions will be considered).
- Applicants must provide IELTS (academic) result with an overall score of 7.0 with no band less than 6.5. Documentary evidence of a current (test date within two years of date of application) IELTS certification must accompany the application.

Benefits of the MIT International Excellence Scholarship, 2024:
Successful applicants will receive a fee deduction of equivalent to 20% of the tuition fee of a program he or she is enrolled for the commencing trimester; March or July (November trimester if not eligible). This scholarship is not transferable to another Institute’s campus
