DICEA provides two Master’s degree scholarships in Environmental Engineering and five Master’s degree scholarships in Mathematical Engineering. Each award is worth around € 5,000 in total to the winner.

Each scholarship is for one academic year and is paid in two payments. The first installment is due upon completion of enrolling processes and arrival in Italy. The second installment is due after you have earned at least 12 ECTS by the end of March 2024.

Cultural Heritage Department:

One (1) scholarship is available for the English-taught Master’s degree program in Applied Sciences to Cultural Heritage Materials and Places.

The award is worth around € 7,000 in total to the winner. Each scholarship is for one academic year and is paid in two payments. The first installment is due upon completion of enrolling processes and arrival in Italy. The second installment is due after you have earned at least 12 ECTS by the end of March 2024.

Developmental Psychology and Socialization Department:

The Developmental and Educational Psychology Master’s degree program in English is offered by DPSS with two (2) scholarships. Each scholarship is worth € 6,500 in total (gross for the recipient).

Geosciences Department:

The Department of Geoscience provides three scholarships:

One (1) scholarship for the Bachelor’s degree in Earth and Climate Dynamics.
One (1) master’s degree scholarship for the English-taught program in Earth Dynamics.
One (1) scholarship for the Master’s degree in Geophysics for Natural Risks and Resources.

Each scholarship is worth up to € 6,000 (gross for the winner) and is valid for two academic years for Master’s students and three years for Bachelor’s students studying Earth and Climate Dynamics.

Each academic year, the Department pays the scholarship sum in two installments. The first installment is due upon completion of enrolling processes and arrival in Italy. The second installment is due after you have earned at least 12 ECTS by the end of March 2024. The third is contingent on earning at least 40 credits by the end of September 2024. The grant is available for the third year for Bachelor’s degree candidates in Earth and Climate Dynamics who have completed at least 90 ECTS by the end of September 2025.

Industrial Engineering Department:

DII has a total of six (6) scholarships, which are as follows:

For the current academic year, DEI offers the following scholarships to overseas students:

Land, Environment, Agriculture, and Forestry Department:

Two (2) scholarships will be awarded to students pursuing a Master’s degree in Forest Science. Each scholarship is worth € 6,000 in total (gross for the recipient). Each scholarship is for one academic year and is paid in two payments. The first installment is due upon completion of enrolling processes and arrival in Italy. The second installment is due after you have earned at least 12 ECTS by the end of March 2024.

Mathematics Department:

The following is the Department of Mathematics scholarship information under the University of Padua Departmental Scholarships:

Cybersecurity: 2 scholarships (Master’s degree);
Data Science: 2 scholarships (Master’s degree);
Computational Finance: 2 scholarships (Master’s degree);

Each scholarship is worth € 6,000 in total (gross for the recipient). Each scholarship is for one academic year and is paid in two payments. The first installment is due upon completion of enrolling processes and arrival in Italy. The second installment is due after you have earned at least 12 ECTS by the end of March 2024. To be eligible for the two second-year installments, beneficiaries must have completed at least 40 ECTS by the end of September 2024 and 60 ECTS by the end of March 2025.

Medicine Department:

DIMED has one (1) scholarship available for the current year’s Single-cycle degree in Medicine and Surgery. Each scholarship is worth € 6,000 in total (gross for the recipient). Each scholarship is for one academic year and is paid in two payments. The first installment is due upon completion of enrolling processes and arrival in Italy. The second installment is due after you have earned at least 12 ECTS by the end of March 2024.

Philosophy, Sociology, Education, and Applied Psychology Department:

Under the University of Padua Departmental Scholarships, FISPPA provides two scholarships for Master’s students studying Clinical, Social, and Intercultural Psychology. Each scholarship is worth € 6,000 in total (gross for the recipient). Each scholarship is valid for one academic year and is paid in three installments:

The first installment is upon enrolment completion procedures and arrival in Italy.
The second installment is payable upon gaining at least 12 ECTS by the end of March 2024.
The third installment is payable upon obtaining a minimum of 36 ECTS by the end of July 2024.

Political Science, Law, and International Studies Department:

Each scholarship is worth € 5,760.37 in total (gross for the recipient). Each scholarship is valid for one academic year and is paid in two installments:

Linguistic and Literary Studies Department:

Admission Requirements for Departmental Scholarships at the University of Padua for Afghan Students in Italy:

University of Padua Departmental Scholarships eligibility criteria are as follows:

Bachelor’s or Single-cycle degree applicants should hold a non-Italian upper secondary school certificate or a non-Italian Bachelor’s degree to access Master’s degree programs;
Should not be a citizen of Italy, but those with dual citizenship, including Italian;
Must not already reside in Italy, but the following applicants to be residing in Italy:
- Non-EU citizens holding a valid residence permit allowing enrolment at an Italian university;
- EU citizens and applicants who have resided continuously in Italy for longer than nine months.
- Citizens of Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, the Republic of San Marino, and Switzerland are the same as EU citizens.
Applicants should apply for one or more English-taught degree programs of the University of Padua by the deadlines. Applicants can even apply for three-degree programs.

Selection Criteria for the Padua Scholarships for Afghans and Other Nationals:

Each degree program has an Academic Committee that selects qualified applicants and grants scholarships to deserving students. The Committee takes into account candidates’ academic proficiency in their field of study, as well as the quality and records from their primary school.

By the aforementioned deadlines, applicants can verify the scholarship selection results on the University of Padua’s official website. If all candidates have the same score, the youngest candidate and those submitting for the first time are given preference. In this instance, the University reserves scholarships on an extraordinary basis for candidates from the second application period.

How to Apply for Padua University Scholarships for Afghans and Other Nationals?

Candidates must apply for admission to the University of Padua in order to be considered for these scholarships. For the selection procedure, the University will evaluate eligible applications. There is no need to submit a separate application or other supporting papers in addition to those necessary to apply for the selected degree program.
