About NGO Jobs in India – Türkiye: Area Coordinator:
Since 2012, ACTED has been present in Turkey, including cross-border humanitarian initiatives in Syria from southeastern Turkey, as well as an in-country response to the Syrian refugee crisis for both refugee populations and host communities. Activities in Mersin province are mainly protection-related, through the provision of legal aid for refugees, and focus on improving access to employment for the population, by means of language courses and vocational training sessions.
Purpose:
ACTED’s interests are represented by the Area Coordinator with local authorities, donors, beneficiary communities, and other relevant stakeholders. As a member of the senior management team, the Area Coordinator strives to ensure program quality and operational implementation, as well as growth where appropriate and viable, and strong representation. The Area Coordinator directly supervises Project Managers ensuring that projects and programs address beneficiary needs and are implemented according to ACTED’s global strategy, donor guidelines, approved work plans, and budgets The Area Coordinator also oversees day-to-day operations and security in the respective area.

Eligibilities:
- University education in a related discipline, such as international development, emergency operations, humanitarian programming, or camp management;
- Extensive project management experience in emergency and/or development programs;
- Base management skills preferred (HR, Finance, Logistics);
- A minimum of four years of relevant job experience, ideally in security management;
- Proven capabilities in leadership and team management required;
- Ability to work well under pressure;
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, as well as cultural and organizational adaptability

Requirements:
- Compensation of between 2600 and 3000€ per month (before taxes), depending on the level of education, security, etc., with a monthly living allowance of $300
- Donation to a housing allowance of up to 75% of the ACTED benchmark or ACTED guesthouse accommodation and food

- Donation to luggage transportation: up to 100 kgs, depending on the contract term.
